Outpatient clinic for dissociative seizures

Epilepsies are one of the most common neurological disorders, the pathophysiological basis are hyperexcitable neuronal networks in the brain. However, there are also other seizure disorders which are caused by psychological problems. These are termed dissociative or psychogenic non-epileptic seizures.

For patients with suspicious dissociative seizures, timely and professional diagnosis can be made in our specialized outpatient clinic. Based on highly individualized needs of the particular patient, we offer first steps for specific treatment approaches.

For the first visit, please provide all relevant medical notes available and bring along a person who has seen and can describe the seizures.
